Daniel Sidney Warner

June 25, 1842 to December 12, 1895.

D. S. Warner never considered himself to be the leader of a movement or the founder of a church. He was a humble man of God who was given unique insight into God’s prophetic movements and, in the light of those movements of God, he was able to articulate through writing and preaching many of the things other men before him tried to say. A weak body did not hinder him taking a reformer’s stand against the sin and hypocrisy that had enshrouded God’s church in a cloak of sectarianism. In separating from all the religious sects and organizations created by men, he was free to worship God aright and to reach his hand in fellowship to every blood-washed saint of God.
